Alongside playing the lute, I work professionally as a web designer. I design and code websites mainly — but not exclusively — for musicians.

All of my sites are coded by hand in standards-compliant XHTML, CSS and JavaScript. What that translates into is contemporary, attractive and accessible* websites that can easily be updated by clients themselves. I check and re-check that every site renders properly on all popular browsers (there are over a dozen). I don't use templates, each site is unique, created from scratch with the client involved in all aspects of design and site content.

Additional functionality such as working with databases, dynamic web content and e-commerce is achieved through a partnership with George Crawford. retrospectensemble.com is a project built in partnership with George that uses PHP and MySQL.

I'm happy to build any website, however large or small. I'm even happy to build a single webpage if that's all you need. The price will depend on the size of the project, but I'm very aware of the financial restrictions imposed on musicians. Do please contact me with any questions or ideas you might have.
